Michael Phillip Cash Character Interview with Clutch Henderson, Star of Pokergeist

The Pokergeist by Michael Phillip Cash Virtual Book Tour is currently in progress and we have Michael's interview with Clutch Henderson, star of Pokergeist here:

Michael Phillip Cash (MPC): Welcome to another fun-filled interview with our guest star Oliver ‘Clutch’ Henderson…
Clutch: Clutch only partner.
MPC: Apologies. ‘Clutch’ Henderson, star of Michael’s new book ‘Pokergeist’.  Big round of applause.
Clutch rises off the couch and soaks in the applause and crowd. Takes a seat.
MPC: So, Clutch…
Clutch: So, Mr. Cash.
MPC: (Chuckles) Please call me Michael.
Clutch: No can do son.
MPC: Um, OK. May I ask why?
Clutch: Had a loan shark named Michael. Wasn’t a nice guy?
MPC: So that means all Michael’s are bad?
Clutch: Sure does.
MPC: O. K. Um, so Clutch, tell us about your starring role in Pokergeist.
Clutch: Pokergeist is a wonderful little tale about, yours truly.
MPC: Um, are you the only character in the story?
Clutch: The only character that has personality.
Clutch: I’m just messin’ witcha!!!
Clutch slaps Michael’s knee which startles him.
Clutch: Of course there are other characters. A meek dude named Telly.
MPC: And what is Telly’s role in the story?
Clutch: Telly Martin can see me. The ghost of the famous poker player Clutch Henderson.
MPC: I guess that means I can see ghosts too.
Clutch: Guess so.
MPC: Anyway, poker…
Clutch: Ah, the good ol’ game of poker. Know what I say about poker.
MPC: What’s that?
Clutch: The game ain’t over ‘till the rent money’s gone.
MPC: Do you play Telly in poker?
Clutch: No, quite the opposite. I help him…
MPC: What a nice gesture.
Clutch: Because I want that bracelet.
MPC: What bracelet?
Clutch: The International Series of Poker.
MPC: On that sports channel?
Clutch: Indeed son.
MPC: How do you help him?
Clutch: Being a spirit of the afterworld and all, I have the ability…get this…I have the ability to look at other people’s cards.
MPC: What?
Clutch: I tell Telly what everyone else is holding.
Clutch: Ain’t it grand?
MPC: That’s cheating!
Clutch: Ain’t that the truth.
MPC: Why would you lie to people?
Clutch: When you have an edge you use it.
MPC: And Telly is happy with this?
Clutch: Hell no. I have to coerce him to do everything. Pain in my butt.  Like hemorrhoids.
MPC: Is Telly in a relationship?
Clutch: Why, ya interested?
MPC: No, I’m happily married.
Clutch: You know what they say about marriage?
MPC: I’d love to find out.
Clutch: Marriage is like a deck of cards. In the beginning all you need is two hearts and a diamond. By the end, you wish you had a club and a spade.
MPC: Anything else you would like to divulge?
Clutch: Other than I’m a no-good, cheatin’, lyin’, sunuvabitch, who ruined his life and now I gotta learn how to redeem myself in the hereafter, not really.
MPC: Thank you Clutch.
Clutch: My pleasure partner. Let’s do this again sometime. That was fuuuuuuuun.
MPC: Tune in next time for another exciting interview with Michael Phillip Cash.
